Job Description and Skills
Welland Power is a leading UK manufacturer of diesel generators and part of the Xeinz Group. We have a dedicated team who love their roles and helping our customers to get the best out of their power solutions.
This role will involve the following key activities, although a wide variety of activities may be undertaken in a working week. This list should not be deemed exhaustive.
Fabricating, mostly in mild steel with MIG.
Reading drawings, measuring and marking before assembly.
Checking, Testing and verifying fuel tank integrity.
Working well with minimal supervision in a team of 5 fabricators.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have all the below; however, we recognise that some suitable candidates may not have all the below and require some training.
Applicants who hold none of the below should consider applying for a different role.
Be a competent welder and be able to perform a weld test.
GCSE Maths at Grade 4(C) or Above (preferred, but optional)
GCSE English at Grade 4(C) or Above (preferred, but optional)
Be friendly, outgoing and work well as part of a team.
